Logistic Regression with Variables Subject to Post Randomization Method
An increase in quality and detail of publicly available databases increases the risk of disclosure of sensitive personal information contained in such databases. The goal of Statistical Disclosure Control (SDC) is to develop methodology that aims at minimizing disclosure risk while providing society with as much information as possible needed for valid statistical inference. The Post Randomizat...
متن کاملRegression calibration when foods (measured with error) are the variables of interest: markedly non-Gaussian data with many zeroes.
Regression calibration has been described as a means of correcting effects of measurement error for normally distributed dietary variables. When foods are the items of interest, true distributions of intake are often positively skewed, may contain many zeroes, and are usually not described by well-known statistical distributions. The authors considered the validity of regression calibration ass...
متن کاملRecursive Path Models when Both Predictor and Response Variables are Categorical
Recursive path analysis is a useful tool for inference on a sequence of three or more response variables in which the causal effects of variables, if any, are in one direction. The primary objective in such analysis is to decompose the total effect of each variable into its direct and indirect components. Methods for recursive analysis of a chain of continuous variables are well developed but t...
متن کاملSaccular aneurysms on straight and curved vessels are subject to different hemodynamics: implications of intravascular stenting.
Our aim was to examine hemodynamic implications of intravascular stenting in the canine venous pouch (sidewall or straight-vessel) and rabbit elastase (curved-vessel) aneurysm models. Flow dynamics in stented (Wallstent) and nonstented versions were studied by using computational fluid dynamics simulations and in vitro flow visualization, with a focus on stent placement effects on aneurysmal fl...
متن کاملEstimation of Regression Coeecients Subject to Exact Linear Restrictions When Some Observations Are Missing and Balanced Loss Function Is Used
This article considers a linear regression model when a set of exact linear restrictions binding the coeecients is available and some observations on the study variable are missing. Estimators for the vectors of regression coeecients are presented and their superiority properties with respect to the criteria of the variance covariance matrix and the risk under balanced loss functions are analyzed.
